Congresswoman, Mayor Sponsor

U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn

U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn (Dem., Okla.) and Mayor David Holt held a virtual town hall meeting earlier this week, and fielded questions concerning the coronavirus pandemic and the federal government’s response to it.

Dr. Patrick McGough, executive director of the Oklahoma County Department of Health, participated.

Kelly Ogle, news anchor for KWTV (Channel 9) was the moderator.

The town hall meeting was broadcast on Congresswoman Horn’s Website.

“More than ever, Oklahomans need accurate public health information and resources to protect themselves and their loved ones,” the Fifth Oklahoma Congressional representative said on Monday, the day before the town hall meeting.

“Responding to this pandemic requires all of us working together.  That means strong collaboration between federal, state and local leaders.”

“Providing accurate and frequent updates to the people of Oklahoma City is imperative during this pandemic,” Mayor Holt said before the meeting.

The town hall was an “opportunity to share updates and address any questions our residents have regarding COVID-19,” the mayor added.
