(The Center Square) – A 3.9 earthquake struck near Malibu Sunday evening, but no damage or injuries were reported.
The quake happened just after 8:15 p.m. and was about 6 miles northwest of Malibu, a city that was devastated in January by the Palisades Fire.
The earthquake was 7.3-miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS reported the tremor was felt by more than 3,200 people in Malibu and parts of Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach and Ventura County, including Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Oxnard and Camarillo.
