(The Center Square) – Nevada state offices are closed for a second day in a row, Gov. Joe Lombardo’s office said on Friday.

The closures apply to offices in Carson City, Churchill County, Douglas County, Lyon County, Storey County, and Washoe County, and excludes public safety and corrections personnel.

Pointing to ongoing reports from the Nevada Department of Transportation and the Department of Public Safety about severe weather and potentially dangerous road conditions, Lombardo first ordered the offices to close on Thursday.

“The Governor’s office will continue to monitor weather conditions,” the governor’s office said.

Accuweather.com advised people in Carson City there could be an inch or two of snow late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Northern Washoe County is under a winter weather advisory, while the greater Lake Tahoe Area is on a winter storm warning starting early Saturday morning.

“Governor Lombardo urges northern Nevadans to take caution on roadways and to follow all NDOT and DPS guidance,” the statement said.
