Young Presented Award

State Sen. George Young (Dem., Oklahoma City) was presented the Russell M. Perry Award of Excellence during the 42nd annual Equal Opportunity Day events sponsored by the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City.  The events discuss diversity and the challenges of achieving equality.  A statement said that State Sen. Young has “championed legislation that would create an entrepreneurial minority business hub in the state, and has been a proponent for creating a state commission on race and equality.”  Here, he speaks at a news conference as the other members of the Oklahoma Legislative Black Caucus look on.
