(Oklahoma City, OK) –  Tonight, the Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education met in executive session to discuss the contract of the superintendent. In open session, the board unanimously voted to extend Superintendent Dr. Jamie C. Polk’s contract through the 2028-2029 school year.

“Tonight, the OKCPS Board of Education approved a new contract for Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk, which includes a $25,000 increase to her base salary for the current fiscal year and extends her agreement through June 30, 2029 – the maximum term allowed by law. “I am honored to continue serving as Superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools. This contract extension reflects our collective belief that stability, clarity, and collaboration are essential to sustaining the progress our students deserve. I appreciate the trust and partnership of our Board of Education and am grateful to our families, staff, and community members who work alongside us every day,” said OKCPS Superintendent Dr. Jamie Polk. “OKCPS is moving with purpose, and I remain fully committed to the work ahead. Together, we will continue building the systems, culture and opportunities that ensure every student in Oklahoma City Public Schools is prepared for a bright and successful future. Let’s go to work!”
