OKCPS Application Schools Window Open Through February 16

Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) is excited to announce that the application window for the 2024-25 school year is open now through February 16, 2024. Application schools are free public middle and high schools with selective admission requirements. Criteria for selection may include a combination of achievement tests, attendance, auditions, grades and/or recommendations.

Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, Classen SAS Middle School, Classen SAS High School at Northeast, Southeast Middle School and Southeast High School are seeking applicants who have a talent for fine arts, leadership, STEM, or who have character and have demonstrated academic excellence. Any student currently in 4th – 11th grade can apply to one of our application schools, including students who reside in other districts. However, priority is given to students who live within the OKCPS boundaries.

”Application schools are just one of the many ways our district offers choices for families to choose the best path for their students,” said Dr. Sean McDaniel, OKCPS Superintendent. ”These application schools, with locations throughout the OKC metro, embody cultures of high expectations and rigorous instruction to ensure that graduates are prepared for a full range of postsecondary options. We are also looking forward to the 2026 opening of Belle Isle High School, which will allow students who attend Belle Isle Middle School a continuation of their education path.”

Families interested in having their student attend one of these schools for the 2024-25 school year need to fill out and submit an application by February 16, 2024. Families should visit www.okcps.org/applicationschools to view additional information about application schools and fill out online forms.
