RFK Jr. to make announcement in Phoenix amid Trump endorsement rumors

(The Center Square) – Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said Wednesday that he will be making an announcement Friday morning about the future of his independent presidential candidacy in Phoenix, ahead of a former President Donald Trump’s rally scheduled to take place in Glendale later that day.

A day earlier, Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, revealed in an interview on Tom Bilyeu’s podcast, Impact Theory, that they may drop out and endorse former President Donald Trump’s campaign.

“There’s two options that we’re looking at and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump,” she said on the podcast. “Or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump and you know, we walk away from that and explain to our base why we’re making this decision.”

RFK has yet to announce what will be discussed during the announcement, only that he will be “addressing the nation,” according to multiple media outlets. Kennedy’s campaign has publicly spoken out against the Democratic party, claiming that they have “sabotaged” their campaign, according to Shanan’s interview with Bilyeu, and have shown their support for the Republican party and Trump.

However, both Kennedy and Shanan have advocated for a third party option and that “71% of Americans want a third party,” Shanan said.

Kennedy’s announcement will be delivered at 11 a.m. PST in Phoenix and Trump’s rally begin at 3 p.m. PST in nearby Glendale.
