One new candidate declares in Indiana

Ballotpedia tracked one new state-level candidate in Indiana between Nov. 6-12. This was one more candidate than the prior week.

The candidate is a Democrat and is running for state legislature in 2024.

Details on the candidate are below:

Thomas Horrocks (D) is running for Indiana House of Representatives District 62. Horrocks said, “I’m trying to carve out a life for my family in south-central Indiana. My wife Adriane and I are both working to support our blended family as they navigate public school and college. … I’ve been a church pastor here in Southern Indiana for nearly 8 years. I’m also a chaplain in the Indiana Army National Guard, where I’ve been serving for nearly 10 years … I went into ministry because I wanted to play a part in helping people live meaningful, fulfilling lives. I wanted to see people have every opportunity to thrive as individuals, and in their relationships, and families. That’s the same reason I’m now running to represent you in the Statehouse. … I think our state government should focus more on actually helping Hoosiers and I’m running to help make that happen. … I think it’s time to get to work making life better for all of us. I hope you’ll join me.”
