Malone, the mayor of East Petersburg, edged out Republican Josh Parsons in a tight race, pulling ahead by roughly 500 votes. That district hadn’t seen a Democrat win since the 1970s. Is this a sign that voters, even in Trump strongholds, are fed up with the president’s sweeping cuts, chaotic tariffs, rising costs, workers being fired, and loss of Medicaid?
