Bossier financials show $238M year-to-date revenue

(The Center Square) – A financial report for Bossier City details year-to-date revenue totaling $238 million as of August, with $126 million of that coming from consolidated sales tax.

The city is currently $7 million under budget for expenses.

The five-page financial report prepared by Bossier City Finance Director Angela Williamson breaks down city revenue by funds for both the month of August and year-to-date, as well as expenses.

The General Fund and consolidated sales tax brought in the largest revenue for the month— $4.8 million in August for the General Fund and $16.4 million in consolidated sales tax.

The city has collected nearly $38 million more in revenue than originally budgeted, mostly from consolidated sales tax.
