Say Her Name: Renee Nicole Macklin Goode, ICE’s Latest Victim

(AURN News) – Renee Nicole Macklin Goode is the 37-year-old mother of three who was shot by agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday morning.

A viral video shows an officer getting out of his vehicle and trying to open her car door. She reversed her vehicle in an apparent attempt to get away. Another ICE official standing near the front of her vehicle fired two to three shots. Accounts from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem conflict with the circulating video, which labels Renee a domestic terrorist and accuses her of attacking police officers.

In a statement from her alma mater, Old Dominion University said, “May Renee’s life be a reminder of what unites us: freedom, love and peace.” She is at least the fifth person killed since the administration began leading U.S. immigration crackdowns last year.
