The United Way of Central Oklahoma is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Canuso Holt as its new President and CEO. The decision was announced during today’s board meeting, where Board Chairman Shane Wharton shared the news.

Holt will become the 13th person to lead the United Way of Central Oklahoma in its 100- year history on November 1, 2023. She replaces Debby Hampton who announced her retirement from that position after 13 years.

Upon her appointment, Rachel shared her thoughts: “I am honored by the Nominating Committee and Board’s selection of me as the next President and CEO of the United Way of Central Oklahoma. In my 11 years of state service in juvenile justice, I know the importance of strong community resources.”

Rachel is familiar with many of the 70-plus Partner Agencies in Oklahoma, Canadian and Logan counties and expressed her eagerness to jump in and learn more about each of them and how the United Way can continue to support their critical work. She stated, “I believe this role continues my life’s work of improving the wellbeing of children and families.”
